Whether it be from Pokemon, Splinter Cell, or Dora the Explorer, there's usually a boss that just... doesn't fit.

Vamp in MGS4. Crap gimmick to beat him and you have to watch ~cinematics~ in order to see him getting killed, rather than doing it yourself.

Phantom in DMC2. Copy and paste boss from DMC1 with no explanation given.

I know there's some more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Twinmold, from Majora's Mask, as much as I like turning into a giant. It's still my favorite temple from all the 3D zelda games, but the boss prevents it from being absolutely perfect.

Pretty much everyone extra in Conception II.

dude i dont need three random evil boys after each other -_-

Plasm Wraith from Pikmin 3. Don't get me wrong, I freakin' love this thing, it's super cool. But It just doesn't fit in with the other bosses. Every other boss is based off a real life creature, such as the Armored Mawdad being a centipede or the Scornet Maestro being a bee queen, The Plasm Wraith is just kinda... There.

Completely random mutations, not relevant to the story at all.

Lots of the commanders in Diamond/Pearl games.. just the fact that you had to battle them OVER AND OVER again.

I didn't need Gigyas.
But lol no, how about Big Octo, the mini-boss in Jabu-Jabu's belly? He's not as much unnecessary as he is unnecessarily hard.
