What are your tiny little pet-peeves in the game?

Not sure if you guys know, but if you hold down any Y-B-A buttons, it will get rid of the clock even when the camera is facing upwards. It feels kinda awkward while taking pictures, but it can be pretty helpful when trying to get a specific shot!

OMG, what a revelation! The clock thing bothered me too! Thank you for this tidbit! <3

Thank you so much for this information! I've tapped the buttons to get the clock to go away temporarily, but it always pops back up. I didn't know I could hold the buttons to keep it away.

Thanks for the reminder! I seem to always forget that little trick, even though it's incredibly helpful for taking pictures.

One on my pet peeves is also grass deterioration. I played City Folk a long time ago and for the short amount of time I did, I did not like the grass wearing out. I even seen some videos of City Folk where the player's town was nothing but dirt. They did tone it down a little in New Leaf, but it's still there.

Also, I miss Blathers talking too. He helped me to learn more about species of fish and bugs in our real world. They really did tone him down too much.

One last pet peeve I have is not mine, but a friend of mine's. She says there just isn't enough colors of shoes and that there is a huge lack of hair accessories that match certain outfits. She's really colored coordinated and so am I. So more shoe colors and types would be nice and maybe more hair accessories like flower hairpins.

Blathers still gives facts and such, but you need to go into the exhibits to see them ^^

Definitely villagers coming and visiting everytime you go inside the house even for just a minute or two

I remember one more.

You just mean to pick up something on the ground, then your foot wipes the QR from the block near you. It always makes me say a little swearing inside my mouth.

My biggest pet peeve is the sound of paths on top of grass. It still sounds like running on grass which is silly when the path is obviously bricks or something. The sound of path on dirt is much nicer (not perfect but 100 times better than grass anyway) so that means I need to lay out my paths and then deteriorate all the grass to dirt JUST on the paths, which is a long and difficult process.

✿ There are barely any hair bows and double hairclips, and the ones that are available are from special amiibo RVs

✿ There aren?t wild petals to catch and trade for sakura furniture during cherry blossom season like snowflakes

✿ Bushes, Regular trees, and bamboo not growing on the beach

✿ Villagers removing the sleeves from their outfits

✿ The weird spacing on custom-made hats and dresses

✿ The plaza stone being way bigger than it needs to be

The mail thing. I hate having to open mail for campsite orders. I wish instead of attached to mail, there?s just a parcel or a box in front of your door the next day and when you open it there?s a menu where you can drag your items into your pockets (kind of like the storage box in the island).

Another thing about mail, the blue mail box ping thing really annoys me (donno the word for it). Especially as a time traveler when I go over holidays like Mothers day or when you travel to a new month... all my alts get mail pings and the sound drives me insane when i?m running around town trying to do errands (plus it looks ugly). I don?t like checking my alts every day to check their mail and it?s just so troublesome to log into all of them just to get it to shut up.

This is prob just me being clumsy.. but another big annoyance is when I accidentally pull up or dig up a clover/hybrid. I switch between games a lot and the button commands are all different. So sometimes I get used to pressing certain things... which happen to be buttons that trigger the ?pluck? or ?pick up? command in animal crossing. Sigh.

Also this. Grrrrr. Especially if you’re not playing on the character who holds the designs! It also really annoys me when Redd/Katrina and other events make paths around your plaza disappear. And also... why can’t we place tiles right in front of doors? Sigh again.

Yes, I know the facts are still available on the signs in the museum exhibits, but it just feels so impersonal. I preferred the interaction with Blathers when he would tell you those things himself. He used to be one of my favorite NPCs, right behind K.K., but now he just repeats the same little snippets of dialog over and over. I miss the old Blathers.

But... Now you can see them whenever you want. ;o I hated the fact he gave the fact snippets- I always forgot/skipped through them... Plus, then you had almost no reason to actually visit your exhibits. That’s just me, I guess.

that my tools take up so much space in my inventory!

there should be a seperate part in your inventory (like the wallet for your bells or the other thing for letters) where you store all your tools so they don't take up inventory space (perhaps a toolbox?). Because I have my net, fishing rod, diving suit, slingshot, ax, shovel... the list goes on! It's super annoying having to drop everything whenever I'm rearanging flowers/furnature/collecting something/whatever.

and to go further, when I do drop everything to free up space, I always have a villager request a bug or fish so I have to go back and get it! like the thread suggests, this is only a minor pet peeve but it's still annoying imo

This is cool idea! It's not just convenient but cute. 'Cause that's like when you get a package after ordering something in the online shop!

I don't exactly like the grass deterioration. :( Although it does make sense that the grass would be worn out after some running, but still.
