Man, so many great pieces, been waiting for a thread like this for ages and never got around to making one
First off, the Saxaphone, trumpet, electric bass, and organ, they all look great, always nice to interact with, and actually added some variety to the musical instruments now that welcome amiibo has come around and they were nice enough to add so many wonderful items
Next, the natural low table and the natural chair. Great design overall, much-needed additions that help to just fill the gap for nice items that can serve a purpose without really fitting a specific theme, and these have wayyy too many customization options, meaning even more versatility. Hey, I've used at least 4 of those tables in my mayor's house alone.
And then there's the brown seat, a nice couch that fits in pretty much everywhere and has plenty of custom options.
I also really like the white brick wall, it's nice just to have a wall like that, pretty much able to fit into most situations and just helping to add some nice depth to my rooms in the background.
For clothing, as a Splatoon fan I loved the takadora cap as soon as they added it into New Leaf, pretty much wear it most of the time in the game since I got it, just a nice overall apperence in my opinion
Then we've got the sunflowers, I always like using those because they add a nice pop and kinda stand out from other stuff in the room, making some nice contrast.
Another versatile item I really like is the paulownia (or however you spell it) closet, a nice one-space storage unit that has space for stuff on the top, I really like using this when I'm short on space and it ends up looking nice most of the time too.
Other various items that just look Nice in my opinion, condensed into this list so it's not as redundant as this post already is at this point: skateboard rack, record box, clothes hanger, the entire alpine set, stack of books, donut box, typewriter, cassette player, game shelf, and minimalist clock, among many others. Hey, just the top of my favorites, and sorry in advance for the h u g e length of this post, just so many great items in the game, nearly impossible to narrow it down to begin with.

My favorite wall and floor are the white brick wall and neutral floor, and I use them together all the time. In terms of furniture, I always use the kotatsu, maple bonsai, TV with VCR, cushions, and game shelf. I also use tons of food 
I always play KK Stroll, as well. And as for clothing, my favorite in-game outfit is the argyle knit shirt, tortoise specs, worn out jeans, and lace-up boots.

All my homes have the Jack-in-the-Box from Jack's camper. A little thing that usually clashes with most "themes", but I get a kick out of it.

Probably waaaay too many, but I'll try to keep it to a few.
First off, the whole cabin series, no exceptions. I love every piece of furniture and the aesthetic is great. I also love the bear statue (I think it's called wooden bear? you can get it from Harvey), all the fish aquariums, the barrel palnter, the weeping fig (let's just say most plants), the eagle pole, and the phonograph.
Moving onto clothes, I dig the comfy sweater and hiking boots, as well as the black glasses (thick glasses). It's pretty much my go-to outfit whenever I decide to restart.
Obviously I also love all the silver tools (they look more natural, I feel like I would be boasting, walking around with all-gold tools haha) and the look of perfect apple baskets is super nice too.

Oh, there are many items I like. When it comes to clothes and accessories, I really like the shearling
coat and the round glasses. As for furniture, I really like the sloppy series as well as some pieces of
the Pompompurin series, but also the aurora screen. My favorite walls are the snowman wall and the
lunar horizon, favorite floors are the birch flooring, music-room floor and the creepy floor.

I love a lot of the new Welcome Amiibo items! I took so much inspiration and most of my rooms today incorporate them.
To name a few: the Celeste ribbon, round cushion, zen cushion, hibiscus, the Nintendogs ornaments, the Kiki and Lala dress, and HHD giant items.

Clothing wise, my favorite things are the shearling boots (I never take them off, I try to match my outfits to them. I almost always wear a dress because of it), the crown (the little one), and the straw boater. I usually wear QR outfits because there are very few in-game dresses I actually like. I'm fussy haha.
Furniture wise...I love the alpine series because of it's ability to match so many things. Same with the minimalist series. I like the neutral floor a lot because it's simple enough to go with most any theme. I really like the new white brick wall a lot too.
Most of the pirate themed items are pretty awesome as well. My favorite music player is that macaroon one from Gracie.
