What are the combinations to produce a "special" red rose?

I know that Orange + Purple will work, so will Orange/Purple + Red (I think). But is there anything else other than that?

Possibly, Blue + Black, or Blue x Blue? The latter I'm pretty sure, the former, unanswered. Can anyone confirm these two and/or add to the possible combinations listed here?

As far as I know, the only way is to breed reds out of orange and purple, and then proceeding to trample the reds out of rage because they haven't produced a single blue rose in months, and finally buying two blue roses from someone else to make your own patch.

I thought orange x white, orange x purple and blue x blue were the only 3.

Though you have to make sure any reds your hybrid reds breed (far more often than blues) you have to pluck, cuase I am pree sure they do not count as hybrid reds. ~ and thus get in the way and breed more normal reds.

PurplexOrange is the most common, popular, and widely supported way to get hybrid reds.
Thonky has some other combinations listed, but I wouldn't be eager to use them: OrangexWhite, RedxPurple

Actually, Jinglefruit, a friend of mine grew her first blue rose from red roses that spawned from hybrid reds. She would take the red roses spawned from hybrid reds elsewhere into a different patch, and it was that patch that ended up producing her first blue rose. So I guess maybe hang on to the reds spawned from hybrid reds

Guess I was just exceedingly unlucky then? My patch(es) grew to be about 100-120 red roses before I decided to get rid of em all and start afresh, then got a blue fairly quickly after, so I presumed that was why.
