What are some under-used town Themes?

One idea for a neat town...

A giant lawn town, or a glacier town. What you would do is search town maps that have lots of grass, then hide all the dirt spots with bushes and trees. The whole path is the grass itself, with only a few flowers here and there on the sides. Very few patterns on the ground maybe just around buildings, and have works projects that show no dirt under nor around them.

Just imagine how amazed people would be, running everywhere around a town like this... I sure would love that!

I never see modern towns anymore, so that's what I'm working on right now. I love the idea of having a non-hacked and hacked copy. I can hack through Homebrew as well, and so I hacked the heck out of my first town but reset because it felt like cheating to me. I'm working on a non-hacked modern town at the moment soooo...

Nuclear fallout theme maybe? Like a lot of illuminated trees, arches, and sculptures, with an overall industrial/modern look. It would be challenging though considering trees and flowers are a really big part of this game lol. But it would look really cool in the fall and winter!

This would be a great idea!! If anybody wants to do this and share the DA, I'd love to see it, especially since winter and Fall are coming up. I love the illuminated and modern pwp's so much and I think they look so cool and are very underused.

I have a farm town. It's over 4 years old, but you're right. There are not too many of them. I've only seen two other farm themes. I love the farm theme and always enjoy dream visting other farm related towns.

I love your town! It's so unique and the houses are designed super well. I love the casino and the little kitchen in the room on the left and the colour combos you used The top floor thats a restaurant/lounge is super nice and I love how its red and it fits the new-vegas touch nicely

I don't see many sci-fi based towns, even though sets like the robo stuff and the astro stuff really fit well. Tropical towns are also rare, but it does suck that you can't plant palms on land.

Aw, thank you for the compliments. Basing my towns on other games I love and have spent 100's of hours on have led to some fun themes. Post-apocalyptic Fallout: New Vegas, a farm town based on Stardew Valley, and I picked up an extra ACNL copy recently to that I'm making into a medieval Skyrim themed town.
