Splatoon What are some cool DLC item ideas?

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but it would be cool to see crossover DLC for this game like in MH4U. They could add Link, Mario, Zelda, Isabelle, etc. outfits. In addition, people keep referencing Splatoon to Super Mario Sunshine so adding the F.L.U.D.D. as a weapon doesn't sound too out of the question.

Edit: Just realized someone already said the F.L.U.D.D. idea. All the more reason to add it!

A mode that's a 3 way battle. 2 teams play 'normally' while the 3rd wields FLUDDs and tries to was away all the ink.

pls don't fludd the game with mario crossovers not every nintendo game needs marios- why not just let splatoon develop as its own ip first

how about a 4 way fight? 2v2, and you have an ink trail connecting you, and it can instantly kill enemies. everything you do is connected. ink, sub wewpons, becoming a squid, everything. if you try to walk away from eachother, you slowly start to die, and you have to reunite with your partner to live.

This.

I know Mario fits into Splatoon really well with Sunshine having a somewhat similar premise, but damn, I'm pretty sick of seeing the little red b****** all the time.

Can't we have a year where Mario just 'goes away' entirely? We'll get Diddy Kong to take his place for that year. He has a Nintendo hat, he's reppin' already!

Gamexplain did a video on a (likely fake) image showing that if you scan a mario amiibo then you'll get a fludd.

These are some weapon ideas I came up with that could very well function as DLC.

The Shurinken Gauntlets allow you to fire forward shurikens that fly forward constantly and disappear at a certain range. The area in front of yourself gets coated by a small amount of ink when you throw (very small, like a short arc). They only spread ink if you aim them at the ground, which is necessary to quickly spread. However, you can throw shurikens very quickly with great accuracy, making it a passive-aggressive weapon that lets you well-control where you want to aim. It could be compared to the Aerospray guns due to its high firing speed (though not quite as high), but has more range and accuracy at the cost of ink spread.
Sub: Suction Bomb
Special: Frenzy Fingers. Increases your firing speed and range and makes you invincible for a little bit, but you can't stop shooting (can't swim).

The Raining Bow is a bow weapon that fires arrows in rather arcs. It only spreads ink when it hits the ground or an opponent. Shots have to be charged (as in pulling the bowstring), but arrows do AoE damage and can be charged rather quickly. It's an orthodox long-range weapon that focuses on supporting from long-distances, but moreso with flying projectile pressure than snipes.
Sub: Flood. Use while holding out a charged shot. Shoots arrows into the sky to make an arrow rain at the point the arrow would have landed, quickly damaging anyone in the radius. There's a brief warning reticle shown before the rain falls.
Special: Echolocator

The Journeying Painter is an artsy-looking top that, when thrown out, enlarges greatly and paints whatever is under it before returning. With good throws, you can paint both on the forward and returning trips to cover large areas in one throw. The throw is charged and causes the top to go out a certain distance, with the max distance being quite far. It is, however, one of the slowest traveling attacks in the game, although contact with the top can instantly splat opponents, and the top does gradual damage to opponents near it. It's a support weapon that focuses on field control using its large spread radius and abilities.
Sub: Splash Wall
Special: Bubbler

I was also thinking of a "Spreadsword" based off some people saying about ideas where you could use an ink-spreading sword, which would have some basis from the Spreaders seen in single player zel, but I'm not sure about making a description of that right now.

I agree on the The F.L.U.D.D, also Samus's arm cannon. I'm quiet a sucker for anything metroid related :P
