What are features you wish the game could have in the future?

I was thinking it would be cool if we could interact with furniture more. Such as cooking in the kitchen, taking a bath/shower, using exercise machines, playing gaming consoles, typing on the laptop, reading a book.

I also think it would be cool if we had a sort of diary in our house where we could post pictures (screenshots) that we take, and write journal entries. It would be even cooler if the game had its own separate camera where you can choose to take photos of town events, catches (fish, bugs), birthday parties, etc.

Just some fun ideas.

Like all your ideas but, not knowing what form AC '19 will actually take, all ideas (from me) would necessarily be based upon outdated AC situations. I particularly like the diary idea if letters, photos and thoughts could be saved in one's home, as the letter save in the Post Office is rather "clunky" and less than convenient. The bath and shower idea is good but, since it is normal to be nekkid for those duties, it may be an insurmountable problem for the folks at Nintendo. Not sure that I'd even want to play as Mayor next time. Would really like to be able to display some obviously outdoor items outside. Whatever Nintendo does will always leave some people unhappy and excite others. I'll wait and see and try not to b...h about it.

I love the diary idea. If I"m not mistaken it was already in the Animal Crossing for Gamecube.

I've also had an idea of putting furniture on dressers. Why can't we put pictures or other small items on them?

Boring but practical things I want... the ability to change your town name/mayor name (or whatever your role is in the next AC) and hopefully your face. I know it’s so simple but I’m ssoooooo sick of the temptation to reset because I no longer like my mayor name or town name! I feel like Isabelle should have an option to let you change those things, maybe for a high bell price.

I think it would be awesome to have 15 villagers again! That was a cool feature in the original that would be cool to bring back on switch!

Wow i never really thought of that, but that seems like a really cool idea. I'd love to be able to for example; take a bath in the bath, cook food on the stove etc...

But love all of your ideas, you should work for nintendo and pass those ideas along <.<

Maybe this would take the fun out of it for some people, but I wish there could be a feature in which we could have an option for whether the villagers want to move. Maybe after you achieve a perfect town rating. That way you're not worrying about who wants to move every other day after you get 10 villagers in your town.

I also wish we could choose where we want villagers to move in directly rather than having to take 2+ hours to plot reset. If you're the mayor, I think it'd make more sense to choose where your townspeople move.

I really like everyone's ideas! Totally agree that we should be able to have more villagers in town and interact with furniture. The diary idea is so cute and charming, I would love to see that become a reality.

yes!!! i really want this, one of my favourite things about christmas irl is seeing everyone decorating their frontyards with extravagant christmas lights and decorations! it would be cool if there was a little competition with other villagers to see who has the best christmas frontyard

Didn't read most of the posts yet, but agreed with letter saving. That thing is such a slog that I normally just deleted my letters. To have some kind of storage space in the closets (where you open it to get to all the storage) could have a little letter icon to the far right corner and when clicked it brings up the letter menu.

I don't really get why you have to keep saving to store letters in the post office. It feels way too archaic. Like when you save/continue or save/quit, that's when the letter storage should be updated.



I always wanted to be able to use the furniture like the lotus pond, bathtub, ect. They could easily fix this by having your villager automatically switch into swintrunks, a old-timey one piece (like the diving suit) whenever one jumps into the tub. Or when it's a shower they enter and it steams up the glass so you can't see anything but hear the water running/banging against glass/floor.
