What am I doing wrong?

Why won't my mango tree grow there? It has grown there before but I cut it down. I have other trees being grown in between 2 blue bushes, but this one won't grow. I don't have any method of planting tree.s

It looks like it?s across from a tree. Trees can?t grow one step across from each other. You?d have to remove the tree on right.

It could either be because it's too close to the tree that's growing. Or perhaps there's to many things already there. Not sure which it is, since you said there was once a tree there.

There is no tree on the right, that's a bush. Even on the left, there is a bush dividing the tree. Bushes can grow on trees....

Pretty sure he means the smaller tree diagonal from it. A space away from the blue pansies.

I think they mean the tree that's diagonally down/to the right.

Also isn't there a rule where you can't plant trees next to bushes, but you can plant bushes next to trees, or plant them simultaneously?

Similar qn on gamefaqs - this is the info that's available online - its difficult from the photo to know exactly what the problem is, (can't seen enough of the surrounds) so the info might give you a clue

I meant the tree that’s a baby right behind the bush next the dead sapling. That’s across from the dead sapling.
