What about multiplayer/multiple characters?

Wait, so will we still be able to visit someone elses island/town? I sure hope they don't get rid of that, playing with people from all over the world is fun. And what about having multiple characters to use on my own island. :/ Are we gonna be able to have 4 different "villager characters" that we can swap between?

As far as I understood, you can still visit other islands.

I noticed on another thread that someone thought one of the tents shown on the map belonged to the player that joined the game in co-op mode.

I thought that character was from a separate town, belonging to one of the other user profiles on the same Switch - i.e. if you and your partner/sibling both use the same switch but with different user profiles you can play in each other's towns using the "call a villager" function.

Do you think we'll get both of these or will the Switch's user profiles mean that there's no need for more than one human character in each town?
