My gran's buying me a new game but I don't know which one to get. I already have Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies, Super Mario 3d land, Tomodachi Life, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart 7, Pokemon X, Pokemon AS, all Professor Layton games and a few more I can't remember.

Looking at the other games you have, I'd suggest "Fantasy Life". It doesn't really have any puzzles in it, but it's like a lighthearted RPG and a crafting game mixed into one.

Majora's Mask could be fun (I played the N64 version, and didn't particularly enjoy it, especially compared to OoT, but other people like it), though if you don't like racing against the clock (as there's a cycle), it's really not the game for you.

I haven't played any of the Kirby games, but I'd guess that this one is another platformer like the others.
As for Final Fantasy...the only 3ds title is that music rhythm game, which has mixed reviews. I'm a fan of the FF franchise (up to FFX, at least), but I'd never even consider getting this game.

Past that...the only game I can recommend from experience is "Bravely Default" (an RPG by SquareEnix, though considering the games you own, you might not enjoy it) and "Rune Factory 4".
I don't have an extensive 3ds game library, and even fewer games on my wishlist (the ones that are on my wishlist aren't coming out until March and April...and the latest Layton game is really expensive).

I voted for Fantasy Life, it seems like it would hold the most gameplay hours.

Final Fantasy Explorers?! :O

Majora's Mask 3D is your best bet, especially if you haven't already played it in any form yet. It's an action-adventure game that will definitely get you engaged for at least 20 hours and is widely regarded as one of the most unique Zelda games in the franchise, thanks to its many character developments and its 3 days cycle mechanic that has you rushing just to get things done in a timely manner. Most of the improvements will make the game much more playable than the original version.

Fantasy Life, the ideal beginner's pseudo-MMORPG has you collecting materials, transform materials into products, and of course defeating small and huge monsters. Heck, you can even have many (if not all) skills without necessarily having to switch between jobs (or Lifes according to the game). The story itself is nothing to write home about and the sheer amount of text might be going to irritate some players, but the NPCs are charming and are very easily distinguishable from one to another. Gameplay-wise, its accessibility and longevity make the game a fine choice for anyone to play, but some might be concerned on how repetitive the game would end up with its abundance of fetch quests. For $8.99, you can further extend your play time well over 100 hours with Origin Island DLC.

Ok, thanks :) I'll either get Fantasy Life or Majora's Mask

If you haven't played the original; Majora's Mask.

If you have; Fantasy Life.

I haven't played MM yet but I've played bits and pieces of the original and am definitely getting it at some point. Fantasy Life I can give a better opinion of, because I have it and have gotten pretty much everything done that you can without DLC. Love the game, but I will say the storyline is basically just wanting to button-mash through the pages and pages of meaningless text. It is pretty bad. But if you can look past this it's quite simply a great game otherwise. It can get a little fetch-questy, but that's never bothered me in games so I guess it depends on the player. The only other thing that annoys me is that they released day-one DLC, so it doesn't feel like you are getting the whole game unless you pay an extra $10 for it.

My "other" suggestion is Fire Emblem: Awakening. I've never played any of the other Fire Emblem games before but that's okay since you don't need to know about any of the other games; FE:A is a standalone. It's fantastic.

Fire emblem awakening! Beyond amazing game, one of those rare finds that stick with you for a long time. I can't get enough of it, it has amazing graphics anime inspired cutscenes, the best characters, solid and customizable gameplay options, and a neat story with plenty of twists and turns! I would highly recommend it, and as a person who has never touched a fire emblem game prior to awakening, it's well worth your time even if you aren't familiar with the series.

You should get Majora's Mask or for something not on the you should get Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. :)

I also have to agree with the people who are recommending Fire Emblem: Awakening. If you're a fan of tactics and moving your units through boxes/tiles on the ground then this is the game for you. I consider FE:A to be one of the best games on the 3DS at the moment even though I have never played any of the older games. Though I do admit, I fall into the category of "Guy who likes moving units in boxes" kind of person.

I'm loving Fantasy Life right now, but have never been a Zelda fan, so if you love Zelda then I'd suggest Majora's Mask! I have a friend who loves the Zelda series and she preordered it back before it released. It's up to you though Fantasy Life is a really fun game too with hours upon hours of gameplay.

Theathrhythm final fantasy is a really specific game but if you want to properly complete it you will spend more gameplay time on it than any of the above games (except maybe Fantasy Life). I suggest downloading the demo to see if it is the sort of game you will like. If you will only play the game for the easy mode songs that's barely a third of the game, so if you are frustrated with harder songs either practice and look at it again or don't go for it. If it isn't your sort of game it is a waste of money honestly.

Curtain call is like the first but longer with more songs. If you are sick of "tap tap music" games then it isn't a good idea to invest in. Still, I'd go for the demo and try it.

/ I love theatrhythm so much omg.
