Welcome Amiibo Cards

I’m new to this whole forum thing, so let me know if I have made any kind of mistake! I was trying to scan a Dobie Welcome Amiibo card, and it could not be detected. Some of my other non-Welcome Amiibo cards work just fine and I wasn’t sure if this was an issue with the card or if Welcome Amiibo’s were not compatible with ACNH. Any help would be appreciated!

They are definitely compatible! Has your card been damaged at all? Someone cut up one of my cards and folded another, and neither work anymore.

I’ve never used it before, and it doesn’t have any damage at all. It may just be defective. It came in a pack that I purchased a few years ago.
