Weird glitch found?!

So, I think I may of found a weird glitch in Animal Crossing New Horizons. I moved a in-game villager (got her from someone else in game, no amiibo) to my friends island because she wanted her. That move was successful. The previous day (yesterday), a villager got my old plot, was bought by Sprinkles and I was so excited to see her today.
Today, I go to her home with no lights on and I knock on her door, she says "I've moved out - Sprinkle." No one has been on her island either to even meet her. Isabelle even introduced her. I time traveled to tomorrow just to see if her plot would go away, it hasn't.
I can't find her anywhere on the island outside either. Has anyone heard of this happening before or have had this happen in their game?

This is a fairly known glitch, unfortunately. Nintendo patched out a pretty nasty glitch that was similar to this one related to Amiibo, but it introduced another glitch... which is this one.

Many people on here are experiencing it, and no one really knows how to resolve it. Nintendo just needs to fix this glitch, which we won't know when. Hopefully it will be fixed in the Earth Day update.

I hate to hear that everyone has gotten this glitch too, nice to know I'm not the only one though. I didn't know if was a known glitch.

I've time traveled a day, didn't fix my issue. Sprinkles is no where to be found.

The only way I was able to fix this was by forcing the glitched villager out with an amiibo, maybe you could try that if you have any? Of course if you really wanna keep Sprinkle you’re out of luck until they fix it—and even then, you still might be as when the other glitch was patched people lost their villagers

This fixed the issue for me, as well.

I'm not very fussed if I lost her. I was looking forward to getting to know her personality. I do have amiibo cards coming my way. You were able to successfully force them out with amiibo without complications?

Sprinkle is really cute tbh, hopefully if you want her again someday you can find someone to adopt her from! But yes, I had Lily with this same type of glitch on her house and I forced her out with an amiibo and she successfully left and the new villager successfully moved in. Some people also suggested I try to move her house to fix it if you wanna give that a try, but I couldn't do that as Lily didn't even show up on the list of ones I could move.

My fiance has a great glitch on her island.

Often, not always, when she orders something from the Nook catalog through the atm, she gets two of each item. While only ever paying for one.

It's like getting mailed free money for nothing.
