Weeding Day...

Does anyone here really try to get items on Weeding Day? I think it's dumb that you have to go to other people's towns and pull a ton of weeds to get the items. There are only so many weeds for everyone to pull and different regions have the holiday on different days which makes it even more difficult for anyone to try to assemble the set. I'm not sure what the developers were thinking with this event.

I went for the topiary pwp this year. Maybe next year I'll try to get the furniture for my catalog. I think this is a dumb event. They should make it so you don't have to go to other towns to collect everything and so that you can get the topiary and furniture. Or just pick one and make a separate event for the other one

The idea is great but the developers just executed it pretty badly in my opinion

same as Mitzi said, it is a pretty interesting idea, but for collectors and p[eople who want tog et the furniture, yeah it can be a pain. Also, turning off beauitufl town ordinance as preparation can be a pain as well to keep flowers alive.

It's a good idea, as people have pointed out above. But it's so flawed in how it's been executed. I personally went ahead and bought all the items off here so I could hopefully get the PWPs (I don't have room for more PWPs so I'm hoping they will still go on the list?).

I also hate how you have to play before 7 p.m. or else Leif doesn't show up. I've missed it two years in a row because I played too late in the day.

I sort of agree. What happens if you don't have a lot of friends who have the game? Having said that, back when this game had just come out and was more popular, some players used to just open up their town to allow others to come and pull weeds. There was a point in time I had a cycling town and there were weeds everywhere! When weeding day came around, I would just open it up for an hour and people would just drop by. There were literally thousands of weeds.

Without that kind of set up, I don't see how you can get all the weeding day furniture, if you know what I mean. Yeah, it's a nice concept but perhaps not well thought out by the game makers.

Can't you just have no weed in your town, TT up one day, then TT down, and you'll get an item?

I completely forgot about weeding day this year and was planning on trying to get the lilly turntable thing but I didnt have any weeds to pull so ended up with the topiary suggestions Wish Nintendo realised not everybody has other towns they can visit easily

The Weeding Day thing is silly since you can get the furniture all year round. You just need to find Leif sleeping outside.
When I first started playing a spare town I didn't know who Leif was. It was a town for growing perfect fruit and I did some Tting.
I also didn't speak to the villagers and thought wow that's a lazy villager every time I came out the door. Later I found out it was Leif sleeping.

Weeding Day is good for the PWP and some bonus extra in town gifts if you want more than one. The out of town items are random so you could get spammed with sunflower stereos. I lost count of the sunflower stereos I've collected while weeding my spare town when Leif is outside.

I purchased the weeding set a couple months back from a member on here so I was only in it for the topiary PWP. c:

If I'm correct, I think you can only get about 4 of the items that way. I think you are forced to go to other people's towns and weed there for the other ones. Waaay to difficult to do that, I just bought the the set here on TBT

I want a few of the furniture pieces but I use the beautiful ordinance and I don't really know anyone else who plays so I had no weeds to pull. :S Oh well.
