i decided to start keeping track of the going ons on my island! here are just a few photos from my highlight reel. enjoy!

why did I name my island sunburst?: sunvill (yes, spelled like that), was my first town in an animal crossing game. as a tribute to my first town, i named my island after it!

can i reply to the journal?: yes! i'd love constructive criticism of my island. bumping is encouraged and appreciated!

what are the spoilers in between photos?: those spoilers contain some extra photos. the ones that aren't spoiled are the highlights of the journal. however, spoiler photos are still interesting!

Redesigning my Entrance!
Last night I found a theme for my island! Before it was just seeing what worked. Today and forward, I'm going to make my island tropical themed! The town's name is Sunburst, and it's on an island. How can it not be that theme?

My Goals For Today Were:
-Plan out the island
-Redecorate my front entrance
-Create a trading hall for visitors of my island. Should speed up the trading process exponentially
-Redecorate around Town Hall (if time permits)

This is my entrance before doing anything. I hate it. But I'm going to give it a major glow up!

There we go! After some redecorating, I have a really nice entrance! To create the nicer terracotta paths, I used borders. You can find these borders at MA-7011-8313-9106 . They also have ones for brick and stone!

Here's me prepping the trading hall. I want a cool double waterfall lounge area!

Not even complete yet and Lucky is using it! I'm glad he can enjoy his lolly-pop at this scenic view.

After all that, my trading hall is complete. I kept the bike rack to the side, but added some good touches to it. I can't wait until I'll use it!

Since time did permit, I redecorated the town hall!​

The Path Of Pines...
Today I started to work on the Path of Pines. This is a trail that spans a lot of my island, but it's pretty boring. It connects the back of the island with the front. I wanted to improve the scenery around it a little.
I also wanted to make a cool secret island from my peninsula. The project will be more of a side-thing, since I never visit it.
Also, I wanted to improve my entrance from yesterday. Since everything grew in I wanted to see if it needed any touch ups. These touch ups will be minor, like adding some variety in flowers, but will make the entrance greater-er!

My Goals For Today Were:
-Redecorate the Path of Pines
-Add a secret beach
-Improve my entrance even more

I had a surprise visit from Wisp. I also decided to create a river across the path. The ropes are for the new creation of a suspension bridge. Although the path is huge, and no-where near complete, I did some good progress today!

This is me building up the secret beach. Right now it's an outline of what is to come.

Overall not a very huge day, but I had fun anyway! (hey that rhymes!)​

Lots Of Progress!
Today I got Judy! I was really excited because she was one of my dream islanders. I always thought she was too expensive though. While TTing to boot out Doc, I came across her! I'm really excited to have her on my island!

Maddie also moved away today. A little sad, but I have her amiibo card so I can always invite her back.

I GOT RAYMOND!! I thought I was going to get some cool villagers, but not this cool! One reason I'm soooooo amazed is that it only took me 6 NMT islands to find him! I've heard stories of people using hundreds of NMT to find him. Here's a list of my other 6 encounters...
