But has a villager ever moved into a perfect spot for you? For me it was Zucker. Moved in a nice corner above my house that didn't destroy anything and it was easy to edit my path for him.

Yes! Of course! Wendy moved in on a place that i reserved for her, i do not use the plot resetting technique but i was just hoping she was moving there and she did! She is already gone for several months now sadly... She is my Animal Crossing bestie!
In my current town, both of my current Dream Villagers that I have are both in the perfect place. Papi is close to the town hall off to the side and isn't in the way and Julian is right beside the Campsite just west of the brick bridge I built.
Granted Benedict, Shari and Elvis all decided to move in like 5 feet from my house so I can't really develop my area until they all leave. Well, Shari isn't really in the way, but she could have been a little farther away.
Last year I moved all three of my octopus villagers from one of my towns to another.I got all of them to move next to each other and it only took two or three tries apiece to get them all in a row near the beach....exactly where I wanted them. Then,of course,Hans moved in next to Marina and spoiled my mini octopus village.
I feel like every villager I've ever moved in is a perfect example of this. They all just kind of set up there own village. I only plot reset once the other day for Ribbot, but every time he was out of the way. check it out if you want, Dream Address:5900-5259-0762
Two villagers moved into the worst areas of my town haha. I didn't know how to plot reset so it's too late..the worst part is that those two are my dream villagers so I'm not planning on making them move out. Diana and Lolly- Diana moved directly in front of my bridge. Later on Lolly moved directly on the other side of my bridge ._. It looks so bad on my map tbh.. all my other villagers are grouped together in this one corner of my map -_- But there's this one other villager who's directly above my mayor's house. Not much of a problem considering it's a villager I'm trying to get to move out..but the house landed over my only patch of blue roses..
Not exactly perfect, but I think one of my villagers landed in a spot that I left open after a former villager left, which I guess is the best spot it can be. I don't like to designate overspecific plot areas so I don't spend hours plot resetting.
Yep! I was dreading Merengue's plot because I didn't want her to be too close to my house as I'm already practically cornered by two villagers. Luckily, she moved just above Fauna in a perfect spot near Re-Tail. Zucker also moved in a pretty good spot. It's a location near my house but not too close.
Like all of my villagers >.<
Tangy moved in two days ago and I did the plot resset trick but I didn't see her spot so I assumed I was safe but when I logged on later i found her house right where Kidd's was and it didn't even mess anything up! Talk about good luck <3
For me it was Rudy, He had just enough space for me to put a path between his house and town hall, he also moved right next to a pond and had enough space for me to make a border of flowers around his house , which I do with all my villagers. Roscoe moved into a nice spot too. I never plot reset for any of my villagers until recently, so I guess I was pretty lucky.
Most of my villagers have been very cooperative when plot resetting for them, luckily. It's never taken me very long to get them in a good spot, but Colton was definitely the most compliant as he moved into the perfect spot on the first try; right between the river and my path with two spaces on both sides (if I remember correctly!).
I got burned out resetting because Drago refused to go where I wanted. After hours of resetting I accidentally loaded my mayor and didn't catch it in time and he plotted exactly one space to the left of where I wanted him, it wasn't perfect but it was easy to accommodate and ended up working out just fine for my path and all.
In my main town Chief and Fang were in perfect spots! (unfortunately they moved without my consent!!) Now Wolfgang has moved perfectly into Fangs old spot and I am quite happy!!
I don't really plot reset at all so I considered myself lucky when Tangy plopped her house right next to Goldies, perfectly aligned and 3 spaces apart so there was enough space to plant a line of trees as a separating garden .
