Ways of getting a villager

I had experienced many ways of getting a villager.

-By streetpass, if a person has a moving villager and you do streetpass with him or her there is a small chance of getting the villager
-Randomly, it is random : the day, the place and the villager
-campsite, you convice a camper to move in your town, and two days later you will find the plot.
-friends town, you speak to a moving person in a other town till you've convince them to move
-friends town,sometimes you can get a recently moved out villager from another players town.

If you know any other way for to get a villager post plz.

There is another. If a friend recently had a move-out, you may end up with that animal whether you talked to it or not. I didn't want Mott, refused to take Mott, but I ended up with him anyway. But, he landed in a PERFECT spot, and I kind of like him. Only kind of, because I rarely ever even see him. Guess he loves the museum.

To add on the friends town part, sometimes you can get a recently moved out villager from another players town. It's called a wi-fi villager pool, or something like that? I'm not quite sure, I've just read that on different guides to get dreamies.

Random move ins can only happen when you have less than nine (I think) villagers).

You can't get a villager via a friends campsite, trust me already tried that one...
