Watch out for hackers on Club Tortimer

FYI I have read MULTIPLE reports on other websites where there is a new hack they use where you are sent back home to your town

?-and they are also placed inside your town /??? as if they took the train

They will take whatever you have inside your town ?-

?- your golden roses
?? your hybrids
??- anything laying on the ground etc.

I have not heard of items stolen inside homes but definitely multiple reports of anything outside
The levels of hacking are increasing. Proceed with caution!!!

all i can really suggest is to empty your pockets before leaving, save your patterns at Able Sisters, and if anything weird happens, wifi error BEFORE it saves.

most people get curious when this kind of weird stuff happens and they let the game save. if you ever randomly get the cutscene of Kapp?n taking you home, or the one you had of the session ending, just error before it completes.

club tortimer is a lot more dangerous now, and you need to be prepared.

Great advice, and do make sure to save those patterns. I have patterns in my first town that I got from other dream towns YEARS AGO. I would not be able to get them back.

I'd like more info on this. Mostly how, what method of hacking.

- Somehow they are able to walk/teleport back to your town. I have no idea ?how? they do this, but there must be some link in the code from someone?s original town that we then ?go? to the island
- I saw a video on youTube this week of someone bragging about being able to travel to someone else?s town
- Looking at old CityFolk videos I saw a video from 9 years ago where some guy is bragging that he could hack and while inside anyone?s house he could ?steal? any item in someone?s Town. He showed how he could do it. It seems the level of hacking is similar while using the Island to complete these ?hacks?.

I have not seen this happen to me personally, but a fellow mayor told me similar experiences 6 months ago. And I have noticed a dramatic increase in hackers since the beginning of this year.

I just care deeply about my own towns and would never want this to happen to anyone else!!
If they want to hack, keep to themselves.

I feel the same way. I've been island hopping for someone. I've mostly just seen someone replace the shop items with amiibo rv stuff, plus the beans you can get from Harv for free.

If you are still stuck with the rental stuff, do you want to try going back to either island and seeing if you still have them when you get back?

I'm pretty sure the game prevents you from throwing away any tool with a garbage bin.

Believe it or not I tested throwing the rental net away and.. it worked! Now I'm no longer stuck with the renamed version of a regular net! ^_^ Thank you for the suggestions too!

I'm so sorry you had to go through this!! This is the reason I don't do to Club Tortimer. I saw you on another thread explaining how you hadn't had any bad experiences so it's worse
I think I'll take one of the poster's advice on here and dump my tools and change into cheap clothes before I go next time..

Thank you That's exactly what I'm going to do! I'll dress in poor clothes and drop off any tools so they don't mess with those if I ever do decide to go back to CT again. I hope nothing like this happens to either!

That is scary!!! So that stuff may have happened to my town if it didn't error after saving with this hacker I dealt with. Thanks for sharing this information! Like I said, not all hackers have ill-intent and some can be generous by giving away items to others, but once you start messing with my personal items, patterns, deleting and replacing them, they cross the line.

I would also like to suggest picking up the rental axe on CT when you arrive. Someone almost trapped me there by pulling trees out of his pockets, while I was pretending to be away from the system.

That's smart, I've heard some other people get trapped from other hackers by them doing that so I'm definitely going to keep the rental axe in my inventory! Also, do you know if it's possible for one of these hackers to hack and start dropping rock seeds to trap someone? Sketchy stuff!

I haven't seen anyone spawn rocks, but someone on CT was complaining about a visitor from there, blocked off the door to her house with one, so she had to restart. Pretty sure I mentioned this before.

Ohh, I saw this coming about a year and a half ago. A girl at CT was spawning rocks and a bunch of other stuff. I wondered how long it would take before we started hearing about hackers going into towns and blocking doors. I used to make friends on CT, but after seeing that, I decided it just wasn't safe anymore.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I have never visited Club Tortimer since I am a solitary player. But no one has a right to hack, steal or abuse other players. This is a game, it should be fun, harmless and a way to meet new friends all over the world. Again, I am sorry this happened.

Today I visited club tortimer and i found that someone planted a tree where Lloid is supposed to be so no one could rent a net or a rod to catch fishes or bugs. Thats something only a hacker can do. I dont know why people do that, its not funny to ruin the game doing that.
