villagers you never thought you'd like but ended up loving

Genji.

Story time kids.

When I got my acnl copy it was late december evening. I was at my parents in law 's home. I really only got the game because the characters could wear cute dresses, shallow player right here, but over the year it grew on me like... well stuff that grows really well.
I didn't know shiitake mushroom about the game, I didn't know you could reset or whatever for a good map so I just choose one of the first 4.
I had Cobb as one of my starters... he looked like some crazy professor that experiments on kids, probably because f his room, but luckily he soon enough got replaced by Genji. Mind the little fact that I was stuck with Cobb for ages and when I read in on the game I reset for a better map. And I plot reseted random villagers to get somebody I liked, the reset was stuck on jock as that was the only one personality I didn't have. Back then I hated jocks, but he, the Genji, looked okay so I accepted him.
Now a year in, having one town complete and having become something without a life that I call experienced mayor I can not imagine my life without that jock bunny butt. Just can't.

Bedtime story over.

Peanut, I really hated the lovely set in her home when I first got her, but I ended up really liking her and it was really sad when she moved away (even though I needed her to to get the perfect cafe spot)

Kyle and Peewee in my old town... I knew I would love Molly from the very beginning, and when I lost her I wanted to re-set straight away, but I didn't want to leave those two, I loved them too much :c In the end I did reset, but only after finding them both homes!

Groucho: He's rather plain and normally I don't like that. He was a starter so I thought I was going to move him out right away, but I was soon reconsidering. He's a cranky villagers but he's so hilarious, especially since he reminds me of an old grandpa who is shouting at his loud neighbors to get off of his lawn. I'm not quite sure if he is one of my official dreamies but if I can't find a better cranky then I think he'll be staying for good.

Ken. At first I was like, "A rooster? You have GOT to be kidding." But then he wormed his way into my heart and now I can't picture my town without him.

Julian | Stitches | Wart Jr.
Julian: He's now a dreamie I own but I never thought i would like him, because he reminded me of those popular student who are stuck up
Stitches: He has no eyes... like that pink horse, neither are a dreamie, but I like stitches more
Wart Jr.: He was a random move in and I didn't think I would like him, but he's kind of cute.

A bit more of a toned down version as my experience wasn't necessary hate/love. When I saw Cousteau's plot after I stupidly streetpassed with 9 villagers, I groaned ! Ugh ! But once he moved in and I started interacting with him there was just something about this funny little frog with the seemingly unfitting jock personality. So he stays for now aha.

Though it's funny as I also got Mott from streetpass, he was okay but I let him leave (probably didn't help he reminded me of a previous work colleague )

Flip. I think he was a StreetPass move-in, and I don't usually like jocks, but I've had him in my town for a long time, and I've just gotten used to him. Plus, his house is in a great spot, and he has this little street with Daisy and Tex (previously Agnes).

There's also Pompom. I don't usually like ducks, but she's actually really cute. I sort of wish I could keep her, but I already have 2 peppy villagers, plus she was another SteetPass move-in and her house is in a really horrible spot.

I'm walking around town one day and I see that someone is moving in. His name is Boone... Okay, let me Google a pic to see what he looks like... Yikes! It's a hideous gorilla! LOL

I ended up loving Boone immediately. He's a jock, but kind of a watered-down version. He's much more likeable than most jocks. He asked to move away last month, but I'm not ready to let him go yet.

Boone is one of the only original villagers I still have and my favorite jock by far. I feel the personality fits him so much better than others.

For me, I've never been fond of the alligators, but Gayle has been hanging around in my slow cycling town for a while and she is so precious! I don't really want to let her go anymore, haha.

i was momentarily attached to pate but i let her move. :'c i still miss her tho.
