Villagers you didn't like but then warmed up to? And why?

I'll start, because I have a lot.
I didn't like Diva, and she seemed like just a rip-off of Gigi, until I learned she was Uchi. I then met her in a friend's town, and grew attached to her.
I also didn't like Beardo, but recently I saw some cute art of Beardo and Gaston by cubert on Tumblr, and now I like Beardo because the art made him seem less ugly.
Also also, I didn't like Eugene because he shared my birthday and kept flirting with me, but then I read that book with Ponyboy (I don't remember the name) and started liking the greaser style.

I had Julian before in NL and didn’t really click well with him for some reason. I blamed his eyes for it, thinking villagers with no eyes scare me. Because of this, I never took interest in Stitches even if he was popular as he also had no eyes. Then in NH, I got Stitches and he completely won me over. He’s so cute and baby and just so sweet.

when i first keep hearing people dislike diva, i was like what is dis hunny.. then now she’s one of my fav uchi’s. she’s so fierce and stylish.

i wanted to move out shari so bad when i first had her in new leaf. she did. and now i got her as first villager here but i got no complaints. i guess i missed her huh.

6/10 of my original villagers were repeats from older games, plan on replacing the 6 with amiibos because I got bored of them and want something new

anyway my four new villagers are Flo, Cranston, Annabelle and Leopold

I always liked Annabelle’s design and found her on a Nook Miles island. So far so good,
Didn’t like Flo or Cranston at first because I wasn‘t familiar with them but they’ve grown on me so they’re both staying
kicked Leopold out because I wanted a different smug

I use to really hate Vladimir just based on his grumpy face and his house in New Leaf.
The only reason I didn’t get rid of him was because I was determined to keep all of my original villagers, and I’m so glad I did
He really grew on me over the years and I have a lot of good memories of the grumpy old Russian bear cub

The Outsiders!!! Love that book. I didn't like Peewee at all but I started talking to him more and seeing him just chilling by himself on the beach with his old man glasses on and it cracked me up lol now he's one of my favorites.

Side question: Did they rename Uchi in this version? Diva is listed on the wiki as "Sisterly". Never seen that one before.

Anyways, the villager I warmed up to was actually my first villager on New Horizons. Goose (the chicken). He's just so goofy. He never sings or runs around with Naruto arms, but he does do his Zumba routine right in front of my lakefront manor on most weekdays.

Midge seemed super plain to me when I recruited her and I 100% planned on moving her as soon as I got her. Over time, I found her design really nice and she was actually really sweet, so I plan on keeping her for a while now!

Hazel and Bertha - I thought they were both the ugliest things (Hazel especially, I still don't like the way she looks)
I warmed up to Hazel solely because she's a squirrel and I love squirrels
Bertha has become my second favorite villager of all time, I just love her personality she's so nice. I only warmed up after recieving this letter from her. Even more so now especially after finding out that she loves the museum and dinos
