Villagers wearing your patterns?

Here's your odd question of the day from yours truly. XD

I want villagers to wear patterns I've made, but are there certain types of clothing they won't wear? I've never had them wear a dress pattern, or a long sleeved shirt pattern. Am I just unlucky or to they only wear short/no sleeved patterns? Does it matter where you place it in your Sisters shop?

uh i'm kind of sure they can't wear dresses

but i've seen villagers wear the default shirt design which is long sleeved so i don't think sleeves matter?

Ah, well I guess I've been unlucky then since the one I got has never been worn and it's been up for over a year. ^^;

My villagers always wear my patterns, not dresses though. I guess it's just random.

I only have one villager wearing my pattern. I think they can only wear the shirt pattern (based on what I have read in other threads). They will modify it to remove the sleeves.

I didn't know you could make dress patterns. I've only seen villagers wear tanks and tees

If the extra players have a good friendship level get them to put a design up.
The mayor and 2 extra players have a design on display. Right now I have most of the villagers wearing the designs.
Paula and Lolly are wearing a birthday tee.

Poncho, kitty, Tom, and Francine are wearing my shirt design ^-^ poncho is proud of one of my designs, that's the only thing he will ever wear xD the others just recently began to xD
