Villagers that mean well but just aren't likeable

Hi!
I've had Pate in my town ever since I started it in September, so she and my character are incredibly close. She drops in randomly, runs up to me just to ask for advice, sends me random gifts, and has an adorable nickname for me. However, I just can't bring myself to adore her. I mean, she's alright, I like her, but if she wanted to move out, I'd probably say yet. I guess she's just plain to me and I like the more unique characters.

What about you? Do you have characters like that? Or is it reversed, you adore them, but they just don't return the feelings?

I liked Kiki a lot, but she and I didn't really click. I always felt there was something was a bit off about her, maybe it was her mouth idk. :c I do miss her a lot now that she's not around in Chrome anymore, though.

I'm pretty sure Butch is avoiding me. He's always away from town whenever I start the game, I'll reset several times and he just won't show his adorable face. ;-;

I had Kiki, too, and I felt the same way! She was with me for a while, and she was cute, but she was either always in her house, or never pinged me, so we never really interacted.

I personally love Robin. She can be a tiny bit mean but she's so adorable and is usually the one who cares when I go missing for weeks on new leaf.

She's always away from her house and I can't seem to find her outside. She's never asked to move but if she ever asks my reply would be yes

Rhonda and Patty. When my friend used to visit, we would always sit on a bench and talk and every time, without fail, one of them would be walking around nearby and come really, really close to where we were sitting to the point that they were almost on top of us. Obviously they weren't trying to make us feel uncomfortable but they definitely did.

I think Gabi was my first move-in ever, a few days after I started the game in July last year. I'm letting her move this Thursday. We've had a good run, I guess, but we just never got close. Oh well. I enjoyed your stay regardless, Gabs. Have a nice life out there.

Clyde was one of my starting villagers. I liked him, but though supposedly outdoors a lot, actually spent a lot of time in the museum. That would be fine, except I did not go to the museum often, so it felt like he was not a villager but a recurring guest. Gave me his pic after leaving.

Wolfgang and Whitney, I guess. I have never really clicked with any of the wolf villagers. They are both nice enough and have a cool design but are free to leave if they ever ask. I am pretty sure someone else will enjoy them a lot more.

Fauna. I got her from campsite and I think she's totally adorable, but I just never started liking her. Maybe just because Chevre just moved out and she's my fave normal.. Idk it's not that I disliked her or anything, she was just annoying. She was sick like every week and wanted to move out after that. Then I just let her move and I even got her pic, soo I guess she liked me a bit c:

Phil. He's always been nice to me but ever since he moved in and put his house in an awful place, I've never bonded with him. :c
He's moving out soon though after months of trying to get him to leave.

I how it pretty much went when Rowan lived in my town. Like he was adorable and tigers have always been my favorite animal (Rolf has been my all time favorite villager since the beginning of the Animal Crossing series). He has a basic color pattern, jock, all around good villager to have. He'd ping at me all the time (free gifts, favors, Public Works Projects). He liked to drop by when I was home. I always caught him converting with other villagers and sometimes joyfully singing. I wanted to like him. I tried to force myself to like him and adore him with all my heart.

But when he asked me to move, I didn't even give it a second thought and just went yes, please, bye. He was so good to me, I just couldn't enjoy his company enough to want him to stay for some reason.

 

[Lepidoptera]

Lyman. Lyman was a streetpass move in and he's ok but I just don't feel attached to him. He also placed his house right behind town hall which didn't help.
