Villagers stopped sending letters?

This is kinda a random thing to mention but I used to get a lot of letters unprompted from villagers I had high friendship with, like all the other games yeah? Thing is, I’ve been time traveling a fair bit recently to get villagers in and out and recently I like barely ever receive letters from my villagers now. Does time traveling affect friendship levels in this game? Or am I overthinking it lol.

Are you still talking to and giving gifts to your villagers every in game day as you time travel? If you go a long time without interacting with villagers, their friendship level will start going down.

Ohhhhhhh okay, yeah I didn’t know friendship level would go down with time passage. I usually try to talk to all my favs every in game day I play on.
