i gave audie a dress that's in her favorite color and style and she wore it for a few hours, but then changed back to her original outfit and put it in her house. she hasn't worn it since. i knew that this happened if the villager doesn't like the clothing you gave them, but i thought they put it in their wardrobe rotation if they liked it. she looked super cute in it and i wish she'd wear it again!
also, when i look in my villagers' wardrobes/dressers, it either says that it's empty or there's another villager's clothing inside, even though i've gifted them multiple outfits. i've never seen the correct clothing in a villager's wardrobe. shep's wardrobe is empty and ava has all of punchy's clothes in hers. i'm not sure if this is a known bug but it makes it hard to keep track of what i've gifted them.
