I want to get new villagers but I feel so bad being mean to the ones I have T-T
They're not bad animals but they gotta go.. is there any other way to get villagers to move out?

What do you mean?

99% of the time, the villager is ready to move on. I feel bad for making them stay sometimes. "I want to go on new adventures!" Then I ruin their dreams. Not cool. :(

I read somewhere that hitting them on the head with a net and declining their requests will increase their chance of asking to move out! Is that true? Yeah that's also sad :( but it's only because we love them.

I can't let my villagers move because I like the placement of their houses...and I don't like change.
I'm trying the Report Problematic Citizen feature by talking to Isabelle...and if that doesn't work, I'll just wait for the villager to ping.

Thanks for the info! I know how villagers move in and out, I was looking if there were methods to make them want to leave. The second link didn't work but the first one didn't have anything I was looking for. But I'm guessing the answer is that I can't force them to move! I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to perform a simple search for me :)

It's best to befriend the villagers rather than being mean to them. The higher the friend level the more they want to move because they feel like they've accomplished what they're there for.

Befriend them. My villagers have moved out just from being nice to them. I found that they moved out faster this way... At least to me because my villagers are moving out every two weeks. Even when I time travel I get pinged that a villager wants to move. Axel is the only villager I have that has not asked to move yet and he's been with me since I got the game.

Just be patient. Trying to rush a villager out seems like it'll just take you longer.

It seems to be rather... up in the air right now. There's a lot of conflicting information. I watched a video that stated that hitting them with nets and the like actually makes them stay, since you want to utterly ignore them to get them to leave. However, I've had villagers that I definitely want to keep try to move out even though I talk to them regularly, so the "befriend them to get them to leave" seems to check out as well.

Anyway, no idea if this is accurate, but this is the video I watched: http://youtu.be/6jIuEm8Bq9I

I was just going to suggest this video! And I can say I've had success with the ignoring bit for villagers that have just moved in and the like

Personally, although not many, I've move out 3 villagers just being good frens with them.

I don't like the idea of hitting them, feels bad.

Im already feeling quite bad ignoring Daisy for the past 6 days since she move in, just want her to move out once it hits one week.

Seeing her walking alone, no communication with other villages and singing on her own, makes me quite pity her. :(

One more day to go ....

Creates memories with your current villagers, knowing that someday when you let them go, you may never see them again. When they jump over to other towns via street pass .....
