Villagers for a pirate theme town?

So I wanna start a Pirate town, but I don't know which villagers to choose! So far I have Lucky and Ankha, any others? I'll update the current list as I take in some suggestions.

I think most villagers can make a pirate theme work, tbh. As long as you fill up Able Sisters with pirate shirts for the villagers to buy, and you change their catchphrases/greetings to "aye" or "arrr" or whatever when they ping you to suggest something, I think most villagers could pull this off.

Pirate town would be SUPER cute!

I think the town could have almost any kind of villager...but I think you'd have to go with Rod forever and ever.

He is a very cute mouse, and his house has the best pirate theme. The rest of the town could be filled with treasure QRs, signs, treasure maps, and things buried in the ground.

I'd love to see a dream town like that!

Keaton and Pierce are eagles that look like parrots too. You could easily do that.

Maybe some or all of the Octopus villagers since they're sea themed? Definitely Rod the pirate mouse. Keaton or Frank since they look like parrots (or both!). Monkeys seem like something a pirate would have too.

Cranky and smug personalities seem like they'd be especially good with a pirate them too.

Oh, and Lionel almost looks like he has an old fashioned looking beard, so he'd look great with a pirate theme.

Perhaps Jacques as well? He's got more of an 'Jacques Coustaeu' oceanagropher sort of vibe instead of a pirate, but definitely worth a thought.
