Villager resetting other villagers catchphrases

Genji recently moved in and he’s having conversations with all my villagers which reset the villager he talks to catchphrase back to their original one. Why is this happening?

Yeah I think it is a glitch, I hope it stops. He’s done it to tangy and kid cat. The catch phrase they set it to neither of them have, it’s the catch phrase tangy and kid cat came with.

Chock full of glitches sadly, but yeah I’ll most likely have to wait for them to ask for a new catch phrase to change it back. Sucks, but at least I know to avoid any villager conversations Genji has with anyone
