So I restarted my town because I hated my old theme. This time around, I decided to do a college/university-themed town. I'm going to build dorm rooms, a cafe bookstore, labs, and classrooms. But I don't know what villagers should live there. Off the top of my head, I am thinking Ruby could be the campus science nerd/science major, and Beardo could be the resident hipster with the lumberjack beard. That's really I've got, though.
I think it would be cool if there was a cheerleader villager and a really obvious jock or mascot type villager. Basically, high school cliches. Do you have any recs for who would fit in a university town?
I have Peck in my town, he is a jock. He's fun and I think would fit in well. I like that he's short and spunky, it adds to his personality. He totally reminds me of a "college bro" too haha.
I also have Blanche, I think a snooty villager like her could work too! She reminds me of the popular high school girl.
Ohh a university town would be super fun. Maybe you can have each playable resident have a certain stereotype too. Eg, a goth resident can live close to her goth friends like Tiffany of Muffy (snooties). Maybe her house could be a goth sorority idk? (not really a stereotype I suppose but I like the aesthetic lol) Elise is also a snooty monkey and she has adorable big round glasses. For jock, I would recommend Stinky and maybe paired with Lucha (smug) cos they got those wrestling masks on. They could live near a resident whose house can be a gym/rec centre. Rod (jock) also looks like he fits the jock part pretty well with his workout headband. Definitely add a professor type villager. A lot of smug personalities fit the bill for that: Graham, Beardo, Hans, and Leopold. Of course there's also Dobie (cranky) and Mott (jock) who look like the professor/bookworm type. Pretty much any peppy can be a cheerleader - try to get them into custom QR designs for cheerleader outfits or just shirts that would fit. I think their personality will pretty much cover that stereotype anyways. Good luck with your town!
I think Hamlet definitely needs to be a jock. He isn't the handsome quarterback or the beastly defensive lineman--he is the squat, bulky running back who does most of the heavy lifting for the team.
Graham will give you a bonus classroom if you care to have it...I've always found him to be a big Melvin, but that's just my opinion.
You definitely need a good contingent of lazy characters, since college is where people go to party and eat pizza.
Looking through the villager list, my best ideas are: Hans as the unsocial nerd, Chrissy as the popular cheerleader, Francine because she's always by Chrissy's side, Doc as the talkative nerd, Carmen as the quiet girl, Curt as the dumb jock, Derwin as another nerd, Diana as the pretty, popular girl, Kyle as the hardcore, edgy boy, Jacques as the hippy, Pietro as the class clown, and Roscoe as the emo.
The minute I saw college/university I immediately thought of Whitney. I don't know, she kinda looks like that one super smart nice mysterious girl on campus who everyone wants to be friends with lol. For the cheerleader, I think Rosie could definitely fit. I don't like her but really any peppy villager would fit a cheerleading theme
