I'm debating on letting two of my villagers move that have starter houses and not ones that truly match their personality. They are new to this title so I can't just amiibo them in as easily as I could some of the others.

Is there a cycling in New Horizons like in New Leaf where you have to go through so many to invite them back in like past titles or could I let them move and then just reinvite them via trading/NMT etc?

There's no 16 villager cycle like in NL, so any villager that moves out can be re-invited to move back in whenever you like. You can even have someone hold your villagers temporarily and have them either TT or Amiibo them out, and you can immediately invite that same villager back. Since you're inviting that same villager back, they'll even remember you and their friendship level with you will remain the same.

I'm guessing if I had a friend hold them and then try to move them back in, their house would still be that ugly starter house correct?

Thanks for confirming what I thought about the lack of the cycle.

No actually, I think if you have someone hold them for you and they move back to your town they will have their unique interiors! Someone will have to confirm this though since I have not tried this myself.

And yes, there is no "cycling" in NH anymore
