I'll be a bit shocked if this actually gets answered, but yesterday I started playing AC Gamecube because I'm trying to develop a hobby and stop being such a loser. I should note that I started a completely new town. I instantly bonded with a villager named Bangle, but today she told me she was moving out! On the second day of the game! And my town only has 6 villagers, when it's supposed to grow to 15! Does this normally happen in AC Gamecube, or is my game glitched or something?

In my experience with the game, villagers don't mean it when they say they're moving. I think it may just be one of the random conversation topics that are programmed into the game. In my town, Baabara has told me numerous times that she's going to move out, and she never has.

I've been playing too and Filbert told me something like "someday I may move away" but he hasn't until now. On the other hand, I had three move outs already and it always was the villager that replaced the last move-out, aka the 15th villager. It's probably a coincidence, but still... Scoot moved and Ribbot replaced him, only to move after a week, then Ed came to his place and moved away, now I have Kody... let's see if he goes too.

Oh that's interesting, I wonder if that pattern will continue! Bangle said something like "I'm sorry to tell you, but I'll be moving out soon" which is why I got worried but it seems to be just a normal dialogue option so I'm glad!
Mallory moved out and Kody stayed, thus breaking the pattern! Yay!
