I just have a question, because I'm not sure since the update in 2016. When you check your game after 6 days (I play in 6 day cycles so I don't have to talk to all of my villagers again when I load the game again) if nobody was moving this time when I played, am I fine to wait 6 days to check again since it takes villagers 10 days to leave?

Shortest answer regarding your question is yes.
But since I feel like you have some misunderstanding, let me try explain.

You're fine to wait 6 days, but not because it takes 10 days for them to move away.
That 10 days thing is, when you reply "Yes, you can move out" to your villager asking you about moving out. Once you say yes, it takes 10 days for them to be boxed up.
When you say "No you can't move out" to your villager, you can just put off your town for how ever long, more than 6 days or 10 days. Once you said "No" to them asking you about moving out, no one moves away even if you load the game 10 years later.

Hope this makes sense. If not, please someone explain it better! ( as my first language is not English )

The 10 days thing is actually 10 days from when the game decided that the villager was moving out, so if I was to check it in 6 days and someone decides to move out tomorrow, then I will have 4-5 days to still catch them before they move. The thing with saying no though I did know about already where if you tell them no you can wait as long as you want to without anyone else moving out.

Then I think I'm not understanding your question right. If you knew you can just leave your game for how ever long you like after saying "no", what did you want to know...? You wanted to know if you're fine even without saying "no"?

If I understood your question correctly, I would say you are probably fine to play in 6 day cycles. As long as each time you play you confirm that there is no one moving, or find the mover and stop them, then even if a villager decides to move the very next day you'll have the 10 day window to stop them. Does that make sense? I hope it helps.
