Villager move in glitch... Any solutions?

Any advice would be awesome!

I had Julia the Ostrich visit my campsite naturally and not through Amiibo. Played a few games and I requested her to stay in my island replacing another islander. It's the old islander home but says it Julia and it doesn't appear on my map. Any clues? I want to keep her!

Did you move the previous villager out using Amiibo or via the camp? Just curios.

Right now there isn’t a fool proof fix, you could try and move someone into her spot if it’s an option given to you. Or you’ll have to hope moving a second villager out removes both of them.

Or wait for Nintendo to patch this bug. :s

It was via the camp. Sigh. Shall wait and see, just hoping she miraculous turns up haha

Goodness the amount of glitches regarding villager adoption and trading is already scary. Now you get a glitch without even trading... Guess no new villagers for me. This really sucks and I hope it works out well for you!

Thanks ❤ First time adopting a villager into a full island, never knew we could have the option to replace another villager (can't choose who though...). Might try using an NMT to see if there are any random villagers about.

The bug seems to take place only when you're at 10 villagers and are kicking someone out for someone new to move in. I believe all other move-ins are safe. Guess I'm staying at 9 villagers max, lol

Please make sure to reach out to Nintendo and give them as many details about this glitch as you can. A bug fix can't happen unless they have multiple people reporting the bug.

Did you do anything in particular? Or did it just fix on its own?

When it says "I'm not home right now", it means the villager is walking around. I thought the glitch was the house saying" NAME moved out" But this is pretty scary that it's happening to a lot of people in all different types of situation. Glad it fixed itself for you tho.
