Villager in boxes for more than a day

So Norma was in boxes yesterday and someone spoke to her. As they left, a notice happened which said an error occurred. It then made me walk out the airport and now Norma is in boxes again today...is this a glitch?

I think it's a glitch? Some people have someone in boxes in 2 days, but if somebody already taken her, then it must be a glitch?

Thanks for the advice. I'll just see if she goes tomorrow. If not I may use an amiibo to move her
