Villager house visits annoying?

Is it just me or does it annoy anyone else when villagers are all like "Oh, hey I want you to come see my house" Or "I want to come see your house!" "Pick a time after such and such hour" I'm like no! Just come over now cause it never fails I always forget! Or I say yes cause it's only like 40 minutes away, but then I get distracted doing other things and I tell myself I'll still be playing in 40 minutes, but most of the time I forget and log off like 15 minutes before. Does anyone else feel like the appointment system is annoying? Cause if you miss it they get mad at you and then you feel all bad.

Yeah, I find that annoying too! I remember it a lot of the times and sometimes I TT so I can do it but I also end up forgetting a lot. I don't see why they can't just go over directly or let you visit them immediately! When they do it immediately they only spend one minute at your place anyway (and you can spend like one minute at theirs too), and when they ask you to set up a time, if you watch them they'll just spend the next several minutes walking around outside so they're not really busy.

When they tell me to come over at a certain time, I just TT to the time that they say, if I feel like I'm going to forget. I dunno, there's definitely room for improvement in the system, but it's not really THAT bad, either.

Edit: as a side note, maybe they made it that way to ensure that you keep playing the game for that much longer?

I'm annoyed by them too. I don't TT for it since it's not worth it and I end up forgetting anyway. I can relate too.

I usually try and remember or set a phone reminder or something, but I've been too lazy to do that lately. And speaking of I actually just missed an appointment with Muffy, making her the 2nd villager I've stood up today while lurking around forums. XD One time I was supposed to have Felicity over and I actually stopped playing for a while then picked it back up and needed to go in my house for something and it was right around the time she was supposed to come over. So she showed up and I was like "Oh, hey, Felicity? Why are you here?" But then I remembered and was like oh, whoops!

I find it weird that villagers will tell you to stop playing after a certain amount of time, but house visits have to be at least a half hour or an hour in the future.

I agree. It is annoying and I usually get busy with the affairs of real life and forget until l log back on at a later time. The villager doesn't seem to mind so all is good.

I always forget about the time but I really like it when they come over to my house immediately/ask me to go to theirs immediately.
