Hi all,

I am currently blocking out areas where I want my villagers to eventually move in. If I can eventually get all 10 plots filled where I want, even if its not the villagers I want, will future villagers move into these plots?

Like, if Poppy left my town one day and the next day Phoebe was supposed to move in/have an area roped off (does it even give you a day?), would Phoebe take Poppy's place or would she crash her place in my flower fields or fruit orchards?

Thanks in advance!!

I don’t think that the new houses spawn where the last house was; I think it is random spawning. However, if you have most of your town blocked off, then the new house should spawn in that area depending on how closely you have things blocked.
At least that’s what I think! Staying posted.
Also, nice avatar :giggle:

Yes, unfortunately, the next villager will plot randomly. What I do when I know a villager is moving out is to go ahead and place patterns down around the rest of my town because with the Welcome Amiibo update villagers will not put there house on patterns if there is anywhere else that they can go. So if I fill up my town with patterns while the prior house is still there and outline the house with patterns, then I have a perfect opening for the next villager to plot their house in the same spot.

It depends on how you obtain the villager regarding how quickly they move in. If it's just a random move in, my experience has been that I usually have at least 1 day and sometimes as long as a week before they move in. But if you invited a villager to move in via Amiibo, the campsite, or from someone else's town, or if you picked up a villager from someone's void, they usually move in the very next day.
