Villager from another town hasn't showed up

2 days ago, I got Merengue and Lolly from someone elses town, but only one of them has showed up! Lolly came the day after I got both of them and now it's the next day but Merengue still isn't here.

Is this possibly because I invited them both to my town on the same day, or like, what?

I think you can only invite one at a time or one will overwrite the other

dizzy bones is right. You can't invite 2 villagers at once, only the last one invited will show up.
