Villager friendship guide

For those who didn't know about it, the things that improve friendship with villagers is now known. A text-based guide has existed for a little while, but here's a new pretty one with pictures and tables. It uses the same data that the dataminers have gathered.

i actually learned this stuff a couple days ago from "more customised approach" man but damn that guide is pretty as hell. gonna bookmark this as a reference.

also I can't believe villagers buying things from you is the ultimate prize for winning their friendship. I would rather die than see sherb ruin his house with a horde of sea basses

Very helpful reference, thank you. I made it through the text-based version prior to this "Denny's Menu" variety. I was able to obtain Molly's photo today, which thrilled me to no end.

One thing to add: I really do believe the type of furniture matters. I started paying closer attention to the furniture set inside villager homes. For example, Cyrano yesterday, upon unwrapping his gift, used the reaction where there's a yellow boom/bang graphic (shocked?) around his head (I gifted him a cherry blossom something or other), and he gave me $3k bells in return; same thing happened with Molly after I gave her a piece of crafted Wooden furniture, except again, she gifted me her photo. I gifted Jeremiah the same piece of furniture, and he was less excited. Upon entering his home, I realized that his set is blue, but went ahead and gifted anyway hoping his reaction would match...it didn't. Tomorrow morning I'm going to gift him a customized blue stool from the same set to see if it changes his reaction.

Thank you very much for this guide! I've heard that gifting items that were wrapped up gives more friendship but I don't think it was 100% known that it did, so this guide will definitely help me get my newer villagers high in friendship

On the bright side, odds of getting a blue rose are nearly 10x slimmer using the conventional method.

I have done that (Judy now has a rainbow soft-serve lamp in a formerly empty corner of her home and Sprocket has a ton of workout equipment). It's not exactly like I have a choice in the matter though; if nothing being sold matches, then nothing being sold matches. I'm looking for ideas on days when my Nooklings aren't selling anything viable.
