villager friends

the other day i went into savannas house looking for a diy and she had apple over as a visitor and they both talked abt how they like spending time w one another when i interacted w them ( + apple commented on how now it’s a party lol ) and now i see them walking around the island together all the time nd one time i caught savanah by herself ( it was at night and she was singing by the river ) and when i talked to her she was talking abt a romance book she was reading and hoped smth like tht would happen for her ( paraphrasing ) and i just think it’s all so wholesome
has anyone else noticed their villagers forming friendships n stuff on their own?

I often see Del and Wolfgang at each others houses, as well as Skye and Freya at each others houses.

Back when I still had Whitney, I saw her very often with Rolf. And I've always imagined there was something more between the two of them.

Recently, I find Punchy and Tabby talking and hanging out more often.

When I still had Ed, I would always see him and Felicity hang out at each other's homes or constantly in conversation, they also sent each other presents pretty often. They made quite a duo. Felicity, the wild card, and Ed, the voice of reason.

I definitely feel this way about Bubbles and Bangle, my two peppies. They are always hyping each other up and building on each other’s ideas with extreme positivity. I also feel like my two jocks, Antonio and Boots, complement each other well. Antonio is the serious jock who is always lifting weights and running laps; Boots talks big but mostly likes to just sit and read or do airplane movements around the island. They can smack talk for a while and then goof around without the stress of real competition. Antonio and Hazel, my first two residents, were on the island for 9 months together and were always at each other’s houses. And Huck and Sydney share a love of literature and a slight bent towards pretentiousness that makes them nod approvingly at one another.

These two went on a date just the other day. They were together for hours.

Raymond and Tangy have been in my game for a long time. They interact with each other, and also celebrated each other's birthdays. (Raymond was present at Tangy's and Tangy was present at Raymond's.) Definitely best friends, if not something more.

Fuchsia talks to everyone. Dom likes to visit other islanders. Everyone is friendly with the others to some degree on my island. Wolfgang seems to be the true loner though. He just reads. A lot. By himself. Everywhere.

Back when I still had Bianca, I noticed that she would always hang out with her neighbour Freya. I always put their houses together with every relocation because they both had pink-themed exteriors. Even when I put their houses far away from the main area, I'd see them hanging out together or walking near each other. One time I even saw them walk home together back to their little village - Freya went home, and Bianca started sweeping her front lawn

Rudy and Punchy seem to hang out frequently, which makes sense to a degree since they both have the play hobby, though it’s still a bit weird since a website i used to refer to says that jocks dislike lazies. I wondering if it depends what hobby they have. I have yet to see them mad after talking to each other. I like to view them as best buds .

But Rizzo and Norma are always seen together. Those two are like team anti-pyoopi.

Serenading Norma or something, lol. Look at her face.

Both their houses are in the complete opposite direction of each other.
Rizzo also adopted Norma's catchphrase and hasn't asked me yet to change it. Moomoo face hasn't asked to move away either. Cursed.

Bones and Maddie are neighbors on my island. They’ve been hanging out a lot lately.

There are a few villagers on my island that often hang around together, mainly Sherb and Diana who are usually in one another's homes and Fauna and Wolfgang who seem to enjoy sitting together outside reading.

Judy and Marshall also used to often be together and I'd usually catch them in conversation when wondering around my island but since then Marshall has moved out.

I see Louie hanging with Fang more often. I guess Jocks and Crankys are pretty friendly with each other. I like Cranky villagers but I dislike Jocks, but if Fang is happy with Loue then I should not ruin their friendship.

Kidd and Tybalt are always hanging out together in the same corner of the island.

I dont think its friendship though.
I think its a cult thing. (Kidd is literally Satan in my island's lore. Have you seen his demonic eyes?)

On my island, Felicity and Olaf are getting along very well, so do Cherry and Tabby. In my head-canon, the first pair is definitely a couple, the latter might be getting there.
Cherry also seems to be good friends with Groucho who seems to get along well with Olivia. I think Olivia and Annalisa also like each other, though they aren't spending as much time together as some of the other pairings.
Overall, all of my villagers seem to like each other just fine, I haven't had any fights in a very long time. The only thing I've noticed is that basically everyone (except for Felicity) seems to be throwing shade at Olaf whenever they are talking to him.

The one fight I remember happening was when Raymond was fuming because Marina bought a pencil box. I am just like "what?" I guess for a smug villager he doesn't like it when normals buy regular stuff that doesn't stand out to them.

i often saw marshal and raymond together when raymond lived on my island they were a really cute pair but sadly i broke them up bc i couldnt take the repetitive smug dialogue when id talk to both of them. they would say the exact same things almost every time xD maybe i should buy raymonds photo and give it to marshal so he can remember him

also fang and audie seemed to hang out a lot but i have let her move as well. dang i am just a villager relationship destroyer

Raymond and Marshal hang out on my island together all the time! My husband has Fang and Audie living next to eachother and they hang out all the time too!
