Villager Confusion...

So im going to use fake dates here for examples cause I timetravel in game.

Jan 25(in game) I go to someones town and talk to Chrissy who is in boxes and ask her to move to my town. She agrees yada yada yada.

I go back to my town then I TT to Jan 26.

Is she or is she not suppose to have a plot picked out? Is there a chance that she will be there the next day?

I've never had that happen to me where I have to wait 2 days..

Is this normal?

If you're timetravelling backwards it messes it up but they move in eventually.

The three times I've adopted a villager, I've had to TT two days to get their plot set up.

It made me very nervous casue I do the reset trick to get the plot where I want it... So I was freaking out and was scared to go on my main.
