Hey y'all

So today Gladys asked me to move out, and I said yes. She agreed that she would be moving out on the 14th. I then made a thread on the Villager Trading Plaza, a giveaway one, asking if anyone wanted her when she moves. My question is: Is there a possibility of her changing her mind and deciding to stay in my town? I'm okay with letting her go, so every time she asks me, I'll click the leave option, but I have heard that she just may decide to stay all of the sudden. I am worried that someone will claim her on the giveaway thread, then she'll just be like "I decided not to leave!" between now and the 14th. I also don't have her picture, so I might send her gifts to try and increase the chance of me getting it when she moves. I don't TT so I can't just TT to the 14th to get her out. I also made sure I clearly stated on the thread that I'm sorry if she all of the sudden decides to stay...

Any suggestions?

This just happened to me yesterday. Rowan had decided to move and yesterday he said he was leaving in a few days. I said "good luck" and he said something about thought we were better friends than that so now he was gonna stay til we are. I was not happy. I don't dislike Rowan but there are other villagers I want so I was fine with him leaving but now he's changed his mind and I'm stuck.
The only thing I can think of is once they say they are leaving don't talk to them again then they can't tell you they changed their mind. Good luck.

Thanks, I clicked the "ok bye" option and Gladys was like "thanks for your support, I'm moving on the 14th!"

After a villager tells me they are moving, I don't talk to them anymore after they decide to move so they can't change their minds. And if a villager decides to change their minds after they tell me they are moving, I turn the game off without saving then ignore their pings. If I want a villager out of my town, you better believe they are going to be gone. I am not going to give them a chance to change their minds or decide they aren't going to leave.

I have a hard enough time agreeing to let a villager go, I'm not going to risk them changing their mind after I finally say yes. Bonbon has a week and though I like her, I pretty much plan to keep my distance until she's safely in boxes.

With my luck, one day before she's set to go into boxes, she'd somehow change her mind.

After you're sure that she still hasn't changed her mind about leaving, just avoid talking to her altogether until the 14th. Sometimes I forgot a villager was going to move out and I talk to them just for the heck of it, and then they decide to stay :< the best thing to do is ignore them.

I don't talk to my villagers anymoree after they tell me they want to move (if I want them out that is ofc). Too many times have I had it happen in the past where they changed their minds blech. So I just ignore their pings and them all together until their move date.

When I entered the game on my second character, Big Top pinged me and said that he was going to leave the town in the 14th, but when I said ok, he suddenly changed his mind, so I left the game without saving ahahahahaha I don't really hate Big Top but I stopped him from moving once, I'm not gonna stop him now anymore...

Thanks y'all for the suggestions!

I plan to try and avoid Gladys. I bought all these gifts to send her though to increase friendship for a pic when she moves. Guess I'll try not to do that anymore...

It's safe to send her letters, it can't change her mind! Also talking to her inside the cafe, museum, able siaters and nooklings are safe, she won't mention the move! :)
Now, if you load a secondary character, do not speak to her at all, even if she pings. That way you'll be safe.

I say just try to avoid the pings and talking to her in most cases, because there is a chance she will change her mind

Personally , when they decide to leave on [X date] I time travel to the day after it to make sure they are gone. :)
