When I was younger, I never really got much into coming up with strange catchphrases/greetings/letters for my villagers. But now when I play AC:NL I tend to notice that I pay the price-- so to speak-- when I make up something weird. I'm awful at explaining things, so I'll give you some examples:

-A long time ago, I apparently wrote a casual letter to Kidd after giving him medicine while he was sick. I told him something like "I'm glad you're feeling better" and whatever, but the part that always haunts me is that I ended the letter with "be sure to eat your veggies". Whenever I hope to have a regular conversation with him, he whips out that godforsaken letter and tells me how much he treasures it. I can only hope he listened to my lame health-advice.

-Early in December, I decided to give someone the catchphrase "Cult Santa" (inside joke, long story) and for the LONGEST TIME, my villagers have been using it. Seriously, it spread like a friggin virus. I think there are still some animals using it now. Similar story with the catchphrase "'scuse me?", everyone says it, and each time someone does, I question why I would ever come up with something like that.

You get the idea. What have you guys come up with? I'm sure I'll think of some more stories soon. XD

All of my cat villagers have some variation of meow for their catchphrase or greeting (mew, meowlz, mrow, and more drawn out versions like meooowwlz lol) and I make the rest of them say foods like french fries or apple pie, which is nice because I'm always like 'mmm that sounds good...' when I talk to my villagers xD

As far as letters go, I've written a lot of letters saying things like "I'm getting rid of all this paper. It's taking up too much inventory space" or "I hope I get the gold letter writing badge soon. This is taking forever" or "I'm writing you a letter. Now give me presents!" and I sign all of them "Da Mayuurrr"
