Hi! I have a question
I am thinking of getting a 2nd copy of ACNL, for a 2nd town to get my Dreamies, or I may use it as a cycling town.
However, my current copy is a physical copy, and I only have one DS (but I can use my brothers for trasnefrring stuff between the two)
Would getting another physical copy and using it in the same DS erase or coverup the data from my main?
I am scared to do this if my town is at risk, so if anyone knows what happens and if it's safe, I shall do it
Buying a second cartridge will not affect yours in any way shape or form. Except streetpass. As only one cartridge can get the actual streetpass (whichever visits the showroom first gets it) if you use them on the same 3ds
Oh no no it doesn't matter if you've already visited it once. Whenever you get a streetpass, the town you go visit it in first is the one who gets it.
So if today town A got the streetpass, town B can't.
If you got another streetpass and Town B got it, then town A can't. Sorry if I sound confusing lol
Loviechu is totally right -- basically, if you care which mayor/showcase picks up streetpasses, make sure that you log into that game first when you have streetpasses. If you don't care then don't worry about it (I am particular about it because I only work on badges for my main mayor).
And you will be streetpassing out the house from the town you play last; again, you may not care. But if you do, just make sure you log into that game before you expect to streetpass.
