Starting out is so FRUSTRATING.
I don't know a single person who plays this game so I can't really let my feelings out anywhere except here.
I don't even know where to begin. I have like half completed paths all over my town and only one dreamy :[. I don't know if I should pay off my loans to get my dream house, or get all of my PWP done. I try to tell myself to calm down and just enjoy the game, but it's so hard when there is SO MUCH to do. BUUUT I'm going to get another ACNL game tomorrow to start a cycling town to find my dreamies a bit faster, and that makes me crazy happy :]

Well, it wouldn't be very fun without so many things to do~ Animal Crossing is enjoyable because it's supposed have a relaxing atmosphere. I've been playing AC since the old GCN days and even then, there was a lot to do. It takes time and effort, that's why people with fully upgraded houses and beautiful towns can gloat!

Don't get me wrong, I love how much there is to do, and working for it is obviously a lot of fun or I wouldn't play :] I just want to have my town perfect so bad :O

Haha yeah there is a lot to do @_@ coming from someone who is basically just starting as well! I haven't even got to pathing since I'm making my own path designs + I kind of don't want to while I still have two, three slots of villagers to cycle out. And having to pick between being poor over pwps or being poor over home loan is just fff.

But it's kind of fun! Take things slow, it's (in my opinion) better to get more out of the game then rush to the end and I dunno, sit there and watch people visit your dream address? 8'D

You should relax a bit ;). I don't think Animal Crossing was made to give people stress :p. Cool off a bit :D

:] It's mostly when something comes up. For instance, I usually make paths at night when stores are closed and there isn't tons to do. I was doing it and my axe broke and I was like NOOOO :[ I have some serious OCD with this game and when I have 20 things to do I can't choose where to begin :] :[

A little at a time, day by day.
Well, that's what the guides I read to begin with advised.
But I have trouble sticking to that mantra!

I didn't know anybody playing locally when I started out, but I talked about it so much that my sister started playing.
When I restart my cycling cartridge, I might lend it to a friend so she can play as well!

With so many goals, you will be playing for a fair amount of time yet; that's something positive.

If you pay off your loans a little at a time, you won't even miss those few thousand bells here and there - if you pay 25k off your home loan every day, that's a whole installment paid off within 3 weeks (rounding up to 500k), and that sort of income is pocket-change by most players' standards ^_^

I know what you mean about the paths! That's part of the reason I have like parts of them all over the place because I only have one dreamy so clearly houses are gonna be moving around a lot, and I have some PWP to build! I just wish I could decide what I want to work on first. I think it'd be easier to work on one than trying to do everything at once. I agree about taking it slow, it is hard sometimes though :]

Thanks for the loan advice! Did you use your cycling game to get your dreamies?

Sorry double post :(

My cycling town is partly to meet new characters, partly to help other people find their dreamies.
I've also been buying art in it every time Redd shows up, and growing carnations.

My other goals at the moment are to cut down on the amount of regular flowers.
I have too many of them, and the villagers keep planting more!

It is frustrating when the axe breaks. I used to buy them up every time the garden shop was selling them, even when it looked fine.
And the saplings of course, because eventually Lief hands over the golden axe ^_^

I hope your town ends up looking a lot better than mine :)

@Diamondarcadia
That looks very familiar. Floor storage :/
I really wish there were more storage options in the game. Using the mail storage is a little too convoluted for my preference.

Having a new town stinks! I remember it. It was utter torture lol I couldn't afford anything and if I had to catch one more bug.... I was going to scream. However, I still don't have my town where I want it and this is two months after starting the game lol image.jpg

And this is just the mess of my train station area. The shame!

You will get there!!!

Based on your comments, you might want to re-think having two towns. ACNL is a lot of fun but very stressful if you let it. Everyone gave you good advice. We've all pretty much reached maximum capacity with "stuff" and Dreamies!! Slow down.

I didn't know saplings unlocked the golden axe! Mentioning the flowers made me decide I would also use the cycling town to grow hybrids :] what an educational reply you had!

No, I definitely want the second town. I'll be able to work on hybrids and dreamies there. I've decided to get my pwp done for now so that my town layout is all done except the homes, and I don't really mind working around those :].

Oh wow!! Props to you for doing that; I would not be able to sleep until I got that all cleaned up! I don't think two months is that long! I've had my game about a week and I HIGHLY doubt I'll be done within two months.
