Hey. I finally hooked my Wii up to the internet for something other than AC for the first time ever yesterday. I have $20 of spending money right now and I'm thinking about downloading a couple VC games.

The games I'm torn between are Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Smash Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, and Star Fox 64.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get Paper Mario, but recommendations would be appreciated.

I think you should get Paper Mario, and one of the Zelda games.

I have played all those games.
I like MM and OoT.

jesus, those are all epic games.

if you're hankering for paper mario, then you should probably get that.

mario rpg is a fav of mine, but if you're already getting paper mario, some diversity is always nice.

ocarina of time has been called the best zelda, and a bunch of other things over the years, but I prefer majora's mask, take what you will from that.

if you have brawl, you don't really need smash bros, but it's fun for some nostalgia, if you're into that.

STAR FOX 64 = WIN.

if you like shooting games (like rail-shooting games, not fps'), star fox is awesome. I still play it now and again on the n64, myself ^^ you'll be button mashing the whole game, and it is VERY hard to thoroughly beat it (medals and all the extra goodies you can get), much less visit every planet, to begin with. (for me, anyways.)

it really just depends on what you want in the end, though.

I wouldn't go and double up on any genre (just my advice, you can do whatever you want), just so you have something to chill with when you're tired of the first game. though... a break from video games altogether would probably suffice :p

paper mario won't let you down, though. I just hate the second chapter. @_@

all of those games (save maybe mario bros 3 and smash bros) will tide you over until you get another card/more money, if you're planning to get more points in the future. they're all classic nintendo titles. :D

I would suggest getting Super Mario Bros 3, but alas, you cannot save.

^ no save = no good

I'd suggest super mario advance 4 (the super mairo bros 3 port) if you're hankerin' for smb3 and don't mind paying a few more bucks to save.

though, I think the virtual console games save your location somehow... if you quit them through the wii menu, or turn it off directly (power button on remote/console) i think... something like that. I remember being peeved that my kirby game (adventure) wasn't starting from the main menu once. this was at least a year ago, probably closer to 2 though.

if you haven't played world of goo, it's pretty fun/cool, if you like building stuff (or just like worlds with goo blobs in them). I would recommend the PC version over the wii version if your comp meets the requirements though, mouse control > wii remote. it might be going on sale on steam sometime soon, due to summer sales.

no... you can save. Just dont turn off the power and use the wii menu to exit instead.

I recommend just getting both zeldas

I would be afraid of burn-out after finishing OoT, or MM, but both zelda titles are good/different in their own way.

Whatever you feel like you won't regret after.
So I'm gonna say Paper Mario.(:
