Well, if your talking about from the bank you use them at Gracie Grace like its a debit card

It should be like a credit card where you use it and get a bill in the mail.

Everyone else answered well enough - I'll just add that you can't carry more than 99,999 Bells in your pockets, so you actually need the card if you're buying something like Gracie furniture.
