im plot resetting a villager right now, its almost 4am in my town and theres no way i can finish plot resetting in two hours (plus i need sleep). ive seen people talk about plot resetting for 'days' and im wondering if its possible for me to just load the mayor, tt to yesterday 5am, close the game and continue tomorrow? ive read that tting one day back 'counts' as going one day forward, which would lead to my villager already being there when i load the game tomorrow so im worried. i do believe ive heard that villagers moving in always depend on the date so my villager will always move in on the same day, making this method safe, but when they move out they also talk about a certain date which can be messed up by tting so yeah. id love to get an answer asap, thank you guys

you can keep plot resetting for days as long as you don't load the game as a mayor/any other character. just as long as you keep creating a new character, you don't have to worry about your villager permanently plotting in a bad spot.

Don't worry about time traveling and no matter what, do not play as your mayor while plot resetting. When plot resetting, even if it enters a new day in your town, because you haven't played the previous day (the game wont recognize that you've played because you kept resetting) your villager won't have already plotted. The game won't recognize the additional day unless you open your mayor file. Idk if that makes any sense, but simply put: feel free to go to bed and continue tomorrow. Your villager won't plot.
