It shocks me that so many people hate Snooty villagers. A lot of them are so sweet especially once you get to know them. They also are so classy and their honesty is hilarious and not too mean. Tipper, Judy, and Soleil are my favorites.
I actually like jocks too. Their sweat talk is gross and I probably could only handle one on my island at a time, but otherwise jocks are actually not bad.
Smugs and Normals annoy me more honestly. I know it's part of their personality, but Normals are just so boring. I can handle having 1 on my island, but I have two right now and I will probably get rid of one because it's too much. Smugs annoy me too, the only ones I like are Julian and Eugene.
Not sure this is unpopular but I love Uchi villagers too. I think people have warmed up to them but in NL they got so much hate for being "ugly". I haven't met many in the game, though, because Katt was my second NL Uchi and she stayed in my town forever. I even had someone hold her for me when I reset so I wouldn't lose her. I know I'm going to do the same thing in NH so I'm putting off getting her so I can meet at least a couple other Uchis before then. At least she seems really popular now so hopefully it'll be easier to find her this time around.
I like Smugs. I know people think they're creepy but for me some of them are just really funny because of their design combined with the things they say.
I'm not a big fan of Peppy villagers, they seem really one-note to me. I didn't like Normals when I started out but they've grown on me lol. Though their dialogue in NL was very, very repetitive.
The Cranky personality in this version reminds me really strongly of my Dad, not my Grandpa. My Dad's 68 now. My Grandparents are gone, but they would be in their mid to late 90s. I'm wondering if the people saying the Crankies are like Grandparents have 68 year old Grandpas and we're actually talking about the same age cohort. Or it could be because my Dad's a bit old fashioned.
I don’t really like the smug personality for Raymond or Marshall? I just don’t think it suits their designs much. Personally I think Marshall makes a better lazy, especially with how sloppy his original house was, and I’d personally like Raymond better as a cranky? Trying to look fashionable boring dad office cat? xD I don’t know I think the smug lines are a bit odd from these two villagers and I think they make way more sense from a villager with a design like Kyle
Jock villagers are not annoying when it comes to them constantly talking about sports and muscles. If anything, it helped me better understand about working out your muscles properly and what you're trying to achieve. They've also said some terms that I don't understand so I had to look it up to better understand them. Definitely a step up from the previous game. Thanks, Sterling, for telling me to lift lighter weights with more reps to keep my modesty muscles!
