Underrated species?

So I know that some species like cats, wolves, dogs and deer and extremely popular...
Which is the most underrated species of this game in your opinion?

In my opinion, the gorillas are quite underrated.
They are not your typical "cute" but they remind me of Donkey Kong so I guess their appearance just brings back some fond childhood memories.
I think they also fit the cranky/jock type pretty well.

Next, I'll go with pigs.
I really like the look of Peggy and think she makes a wonderful peppy villager that I intend on inviting later on.
Some of the other pigs are pretty cute too.

Also, frogs. I know that Lily is very popular but I don't see much love for any of the other frogs villagers. I love Puddles, Henry and Tad, too.

Do you think any of the species in this game don't get enough love?

I think nearly every elephant and ostrich are adorable, they're probably both in my top 10 AC species or at least top 11 but it doesn't seem like other people feel the same! I agree on the frogs too, I legit never knew Puddles existed and when I got her on my island I thought she must've been from welcome amiibo only to look her up and find she's been in the series this whole time? Like hello, she's so cute! And so are a lot of the other frogs who never get any love.
