I’ve been REALLY good this game and have only TT’ed a couple of times. (Once to do turnips, and once in the very beginning). It has been like 2 weeks and no one has had the thought-wants-to-leave-bubble. Whyyyyyyy???? I just want to go island hopping and I want some of these cruddy villagers to MOVE ON!!!! Any advice???

Nope, but I share your pain. The only one who’s asked to move is Beau—the only villager I’m determined to keep forever. To make it even more irritating he asked the first day after he’d moved in! >.< Gah!

the only thing you could possibly do to speed up their move outs is by tting 15 days at a time and then checking for a thinking bubble. but if you're against/not really looking to tt, the only other thing you can do is wait with real time - good luck either way!

So far I've only had two villagers ask to move, one I didn't want to leave and (thankfully) one I really wanted gone. 6 out of my 10 villagers are ones that I don't particularly want to keep, so it is a little bit frustrating! The only reliable way, it seems, to get someone to ask to move quickly, is with the time traveling method.

Oh gosh, does it take fifteen days for somebody to finally decide to move out? I mean, that does make sense in terms of that being how long it probably was for my first islander to want to leave. But that seems like such a ridiculous amount of time for someone to move out! I guess because it's so much longer than the turn around time in New Leaf.

The first day? Omg, that's funny.

"Hey, I actually hate island life and made a horrible mistake, byyyye"

15 days seems to be the most reliable, but i've gotten thinking bubbles from at least 11!

it does feel like it's a lot longer than new leaf tbh

Right?! haha

Basically, he was like “so I was thinking...” and I was like “NO!”
Then I put a fence around his house for the day to show my insistence

I feel your pain, I'm inviting a villager from an amiibo even tho I dont expect her to be permanent cause I just want a change of villagers :'O

Give them a crotch toilet on their b day.... wait that just made villager I wanted to leave happy. Good luck.

its almost been a month and ive only had 2 people ping to leave, i made marina stay, cos shes adorable. so so far ive only had patty move out, i just wanna have some new villagers.

I've had it happen twice with no time travel.
I have 4 villagers I don't want to leave and unfortunately both times a villager I wanted to stay asked to leave.

Ughhhhh. Now don’t get me wrong. I have all the amiibo cards so I can move in whoever I want. BUT, that being said, if you can’t determine WHO moves out when u move an amiibo in, then I take a chance at one of my 3-4 that I want to keep, leaving. The ONLY amiibo I have used so far is my Filbert. He was the must have first baby, I had to have in my town. When Flip finally left, I went island hopping for the new guys. But then I ran across Fuchsia and she is my fav Uchi/sisterly villager so I stopped and moved her in. That was like 12 days ago.

Literally same boat. I was last asked to let someone move out 2 weeks ago on a Sunday. I'm hoping tomorrow gives me better luck!

I go back in time to after bunny day (13th) skip 5 days, talk to the villagers I want to keep, skip a day, talk to villagers I want to keep and then hopefully get someone on the 10th-12th day. If not, I go a year ahead, and check with my villagers. Just got quillson to finally leave after forever of not getting rid of him

I had my friendo Tybalt try to move (One of my starting villagers that I SR'd for 10 hours for -_-) and then Mira, my other starting villager. I have yet to have another ask to move :(
