Uchi wont move in

Ok, so pretty much, I tried to get Phoebe by resetting. I made a mistake and Pashmina moved in instead, so I was stuck with her for a week. I introduced myself, never spoke to her again, she moved out. Thats the quickest way to get a villager to move out btw.

So now, since I have no Uchi, I'm trying to use the reset trick to get her, but Uchi villagers arent coming up. Help? Plz?

Better just to hope that a camper comes by that has a great Uchi in it.

Hmm, have you consider adopting one from the Villagers Trading Plaza?

Instead of spending the time using the reset trick, the same amount of time can be use for plot resetting for your preferred Uchi after you adopted one from others?

I thought it was because the game tries to balance out your villager types, by making a smug move in if you don't have one, so on and so forth.

the game does do what you're saying but i noticed it doesn't accommodate for the lack of a specific personality if a villager of that personality was the one who JUST moved out.

for example, i got graham (smug) to move out and ended up with no smugs. the random move in to fill up the 9th spot left by graham ended up being of a different personality. it wasn't until the next time i got someone else to move out did the game accommodate for the lack of a smug villager.

Anyway, I just got Cranston while trying to reset. He was in my old town. I'm not gonna let him pass by, I'm taking him. Hehe.

I believe random move ins will never be of the same personality as the villager who most recently moved out.

Confirming that this is correct for future reference and that this overrides any other random move in condition.
