lol, 100 dollars for a headset is expensive now?

i dropped that on earbuds. this isn't "serious" about gaming, it's buying into the whole "omg this will make me a better gamer!!1"

Heh

I don't think you quite understand, in MW2 some people do count on foot steps or other noises to locate others, which I do by turning up my TV to somewhat high volume, I have heard a lot about Turtle Beaches and their great quality but there were a few turning points to get me to buy this in the future...

1. Wireless :D
2. Still talk to friends
3. It's going to MLG
4. My TV volume is bothering others

I already listen to such noises.

it's still just a headset, and probably really only worth about 40 dollars, but DERP360MLG, SUPER PRO HEADSET means they can over charge.

It just recently got that reputation, it used to be just earphones but they're pretty famous in the gaming world for their great quality so they adapted to the gaming world. Plus they have always been this expensive.

You literally can't play COD without hearing "Turtle Beach!"

you seem to be missing my point entirely.

X11 is a cheaper way to go. There about 60 bucks I think now but they were 89.99 I think before my birthday. Anyways they have there cons and pros. I'm only going to name one of them for the wired headsets they don't take batteries. For the wireless headsets they do so which in my case I advise you to use your money on rechargeable batteries.

If they were always that expensive because they ARE that good that weren't even in gaming yet how can it be DERPOMGAWSUMMLG360PRO

So you'd know where I can get one that isn't from their website? (eww shipping)

And I forgot about the batteries so I might downgrade to the wired one.

Check at Gamestop. I kind of got ripped but I believe my Mom bought it before my birthday so my X11's were 89.99. But I'm sure BestBuy or Gamestop would sell them because I called them up and you can also look at there store location and go to the site and put your zip in and see if they have them in stock.

what debate?

you're getting an unwarranted erection over a cheap headset and claiming it makes you a "serious" gamer. newsflash: headsets like this are standard for pc. my 30 dollar plantronics headset is probably just as good.

the more you pay for something != it being a better product

ps, footsteps are nothing new.

I kind of advise you to get the wired ones because the batteries can rack up and rack up depends though if you using sucking rechargeable batteries or just plain old batteries you get at Wally World.

Also no problem.

Did you read the last three replies to you? My god child, I'm doing it so I can hear the same things I already do, plus a little extra. I've used one already and I'm very happy about it, and it'll actually give me surround sound unlike the speakers on my TV without bothering my family.

"footst3pz r nuthin new k"

No *censored.2.0*, but there's more that I might be missing from sounds in reality, so woohoo sound proof.

Haha, well I'm getting the X11 because of the batteries, I used so many on my controllers that I got a wire for that so the Headset is included.
